How long will Sanders Moving take to pack my goods?
Every home is different, but we average 1-2 days for packing up a home.
When should I call you for help?
Give us a call when you need to move anywhere in the U.S. or abroad. If you require a written in-home estimate, please call at least two weeks prior to your estimated move date. The more notice you give us, the better able we will be to have things ready in a timely manner.
What are my responsibilities, as the owner of the items being moved?
1. Please be present during the packing of your belongings.
2. Take personal responsibility for jewelry and other high-value items.
3. Check and sign the inventory of your belongings.
4. Ensure that no prohibited items are packed.
Can I leave my clothes in their drawers?
Yes, you can. We ask that nothing solid be left inside the drawers which might damage the item.
What if I decide to pack my things myself?
You certainly can, but be aware of potential problems. Valuation coverage will not pay out on goods packed by their owner unless the exterior of the box is damaged. Let us handle your packing, and everything is covered!
How long does it take to receive an in-home estimate?
Typically, no more than an hour.
What about my car?
We understand that your vehicle has to come too! To move your vehicle with you, we arrange a trusted third party to come in and take care of your vehicle for you.
Is there anything that you would not move?
Avoid unexpected items such as drugs, alcohol, weapons, and ammunition. It is also important to note that shipping certain high value items or collections may require you to purchase extra coverage.
Generally speaking, dispose of all flammable items, liquids, foods, and anything perishable.
Items that can deteriorate should not be shipped. If you have a question about something in particular, please call and ask.
